I run Windows 7, have the xbox one drivers, and the lights for the controller come on. In device manager the controller shows up as an unknown device and I cannot seem to get the drivers I need for it.

I have followed every possible guide and have all the windows updates. This controller was advertised to work with PC. I have also tried this on Windows 10 and it still doesn't work.

Update: PowerA doesn't have a customer support section and does not offer drivers for their products and the only article for this problem is listed here. This guide does not help because the controller shows up as an unknown USB device and when manually browsing for the driver a Microsoft Xbox One Controller is not an option listed.
